CM
- Communication Master
 For hearing-aid wearers and for
everyone who appreciates clear speech
CM is the
user-friendly communication system to aid understanding, in particular
in situations where it can be difficult to understand what someone is
saying and where even the most modern hearing aids are only of limited
benefit, for example in noisy surroundings or rooms where there is an
echo. It picks up the »sound pattern« of the
surroundings or of an individually selected source via a microphone,
conditions its digitally on the basis of audiological criteria and
plays it back via unobtrusive earphones or by inductive direct
transmission to the hearing aid – with fabulous clarity and
at a volume set to suit the individual

Thanks to the acoustic zoom
function, you can decide whether you wish to pick up the entire room, a
particular zone or a specific speaker.
You have a choice of two
versions, depending on how you wish to use your CM system:
CM-1,
the FM system and
CM-light,
the compact system

The
acoustic zoom on your CM system lets you
choose which »source« is important to you.

Performance and comfort features of the CM-1 and CM-light:
Irrespective of the system, some
of the comfort features of the CM-1 and
the CM-light are
identical:
- The controls are quick and
easy to learn.
- The volume is steplessly
adjustable with a controller.
- Using the treble/bass switch
function, select the sound pattern which reflects your hearing needs.
- The directional microphone
with its three-stage acoustic zoom function
provides the right sound-recording angles to suit different situations.
- Both systems feature
integrated smart digital signal processing (DSP).
Noise reduction
enables speech frequencies to be accentuated clearly and background
noises to be suppressed effectively. The AGC
(Automatic Gain Control) function automatically adapts the volume to
suit the prevailing acoustic conditions.
- Audio signals are transmitted
inductively by your CM system to your
hearing aids via a teleloop (set your hearing aid to
»T« or »MT«). In addition, the CM-1
and CM-light
via earphone jacks.
