PDA
Range Overview The
PDA range of Induction Loop Systems offers top quality
sound, simple installation and proven reliability.
The
range incorporates five different units, ranging from
the PDA 101 for ticket offices and small rooms, to the PDA
1000 for larger installations in theatres, churches and
conference centres.
Induction Loop systems are mainly used to help hearing
impaired people obtain maximum involvement in communications.
They are increasing in popularity due to new government
legislation aimed at improving life for hearing impaired
people.
The concept behind them is quite simple. They comprise
four main elements; the audio source (microphone and
/ or music input), the amplifier (specially designed for
the job), the loop itself (a single turn of wire, usually
run round the room being covered) and the receiver(s)
(hearing aids or special loop receivers).
An RxTI test receiver
can be used to assess audio quality during installation. |
